Though I had been to Europe twice before, this trip in March 2001 is where my travel bug really began. It was my first time travelling alone. I was hosted by a few people I met on line. My journey included Naples and Pompei, Rome, Florence, Venice, padua, Milan, Turin, and Casale Montferato where I met the most wonderful host Mauricio who showed me all around the mountain regions. I was gone for 2 1/2 weeks and fell inlove with travelling and backpacking alone.
