Today we woke up early and rented a kayak...it was my first time in a two person kayak and ocean kayaking. Hanlan and I kayaked out to some islands and went snorkeling...it wasn't that good but it was a new experience....coming back in we capssized and i lost my snorekling equipment at sea. We then took a bus to quepos and then to Jaco...which is a side trip hanlan wanted to do since it is the surfing capital of Costa Rica. We arrived here and got a room....then we went to the beach. When we returned to the room....we opend the door and there were huge, massive cockroaches all over our beds, the bathroom, etc. I freaked out and even Hanlan freaked out..he wanted to switch rooms but i said...no...i want to leave this place completely...we even managed to get our money back. We then found a new place to stay and went out for dinner and heading back to our room. Tomorrow Hanlan is renting a surfboard and I am renting a boogie board for a few hours. We will then head to San Jose and up to the rainforest and volcanoes.
