Well, I woke up this morning and had last breakfast in San Salvador and Antonio came to pick me up to take Diego and I to the bus station...but we had to drive around the village to say goodbye to everyone...I thought I was never going to leave! lol. I caught the noon bus to Guatemala City and it took 5 hours and was a beautiful drive. The border crossing went well but they didn’t stamp my passport coming into Guatemala...Centro America is getting like Europe with free access anywhere. The countryside was beautiful. I arrived in Guatemala City which is the nicest and cleanest big city I have seen in Latin America...there is very little trash on the streets. I arrived at the bus stop and had to get change and call Flavio to pick me up. He just picked me up and we are at the cafe and going to dinner soon. Tomorrow is a long day..I have to get up at 4 am for a flight to Tikal the Mayan ruins and going on a one day tour up there and is a 14 hour day with bus, flights, hiking, etc. Anyway, I am doing fine and I know everyone was worried about me being kidnapped in Guatemala...so far I am ok.
