If you can´t prounounce the name of the city I am in...its ok...it took me a long time to master it. I am currently in the captial of Honduras.
After my last email I had to find money and a bus to Tegucigalpawhich I found both. The bus ride was not that bad...it was about 4 hours and relatively fast without many stops considering Central America. Iglesia de Los Dolores in Tegucigalpa I arrive in Tegucigalpa aabout 1 pm in a very seedy part of town. There is a river that runs through the city and it is not safe to go south of the river even during the day. Well, I found a cab and asked him to take me to the central park. I got out of the taxi and had to walk around a bit until I found a place to stay. I didnt have reservations and was not sure where to go which is always a bit unnerving...but I found a nice little place for $15 a night with private bathroom. No AC but that is ok...because I am up in the mountains and it is much cooler here. I freshened up and walked around town a bit but was tired...so I took a nap. When I woke up it was 5 pm and I went out. Unfortuantely....everything closes down at 5 pm....so no internet, no food, no anything...it was like a ghost town. I couldnt believe it. The lady at my hostel said that it is dangerous when the sun sets so everything shuts down. So it was 6 o clock and I had nothing to do...so I read (imagine that!!). I took a nice shower and reorganize dmy packing and went to bed. I woke up very early but nothing opens until 9 am. So I feel like I have to rush and get everything done between 9 and 5...bank, email, tour, photos, shopping, eating....I am so not use to those hours.I tired to find a way to La Tigraññ National Park and no one can help me and you have to have a mininum of two people...I cant find any other travellers. They told me it is not safe to take a taxi or private driver. So hopefully I can find someone to go with me by the end of the week. I think the rest of today I will exploer Tegucigalpa and tomorrow head to Valle De Angeles. Well, I hope all is well back home....take care.
