´m a bit tired tonight and run down. I woke up with a sore throat and all day I can tell I have a little cold. I hope it doesn´t get worse...but generally I feel fine.
Last night I slept very well and since i woke up not feeling that good...I just took it slow and easy...had breakfast, got ready and relaxed.
Me and Jose At 11 I went to the school Jose goes to...Fondacion de los tres mundos...He was so excited to see me. He wanted to show me all the stuff in the school. School got out and I took him to lunch which he really enjoyed. They have a tall church here...iglesia de merced which if you climb the bell tower it has an excellent view of the city. I wanted to see it so I took Jose with....It was a great view of the city. It only costs $1 to climb it....and he had never been there. It was like Disneyland for him. He wanted to look around the church and he identified all the saints for me and wanted to sit and pray. Outside there was a lady selling necklaces and stuff and he kept looking at this one with a cross. I asked him if he wanted it and he said yes. SO I bought it for him and he said it will be his protection and he will remember me by it. Then he pointed to the bracelet he made and said we can remember each other by these items. It was very touching. He asked for nothing. I took him to a bookstore and told him I would buy him a book...so he picked the first Harry Potter book in spanish! He was so excited and has been showing it off. It is the first book he has ever owned. The rains came and I was getting tired. We never did get our Fritos...fried cheese, chicharon (pork skin) and bananas. So I asked if he would like to go to dinner with me. So I am supposed to pick him up from the center at 8 fordinner. Then he will go to the lake and sleep and I will go back to my room...which is very sad. Its sort of depressing and sort of uplifting...I am glad to have met him and show him a little happiness...but I can´t help but wonder tomorrow...when I leave and I return to work and my apartment and cable and car and cats and heat and fans and food in the pantry...what will happen to him. Oh..and I bought him two bottles of soda which he likes but doesnt get much. He had half left of one of them and then asked me if he could give the other half to one of the street children that had less than him!
Well, i got to my room and took a nap and cold tablet and now i am doing my emails. Tomorrow I leave for Leon...I have transport but no reservations so I am going to attempt to make some now so that I know where I am going when I get there.
Well, I guess that is it for now. Take care and I shall write you all when I am in Leon, Nicaragua.
With much love and peace,
