When I was travelling,  many friends and family often requested I stay through email giving them updates of my adventures.  That partially gave birth to this project of Rhoades Less Traveled (RLT).  But as I grew emotionally and spiritually with travelling I realized that travel offers so much more than "going someplace".  The purposes I hope to achieve through this website and through my travel writings are:

• Promote travel/tourism to "off the beaten path" places--Roads less traveled!
• Promote spiritual/emotional growth
• Promote peace, tolerance, acceptance and understanding of all religions, races, creeds, genders, and political views in a non partisan, non biased approached.  It is through travelling that I have reached deeper levels of spiritual and emotional growth coupled with an understanding, acceptance and appreciation for all cultures, societies, and people.

As most things in life, RLT has been a slow evolution from travelling to "must see sites" to visiting locals in off the beaten path villages.  These adventures gave birth to more broader spectrum of travelling-local and world travel, combined with history, culture and emotional, mental and spiritual growth.  So often we get focused on the miniscule mundane things of daily life we forget there is a big picture, a bigger purpose...Read more about this evolution...
