...i am truly in love...not with a person with a place. i am now in copacabana, Bolivia....sorry i cannot reply to individual emails today because there is only 2 internet places and they are vvey slow and while bolivia is cheap....internet here is expensive. I went to bed early at 9 last night and got up at 5 am and packed. The bus picked me up and there is not a cloud in the sky, warm, beatufiul (i have not seen a drop of rain since i got here) and this is the rain season. The ride from puno along lake titicaca through the andes was incredible...snow capped mountains, natives plowing the land, thatched roof homes, will llamas and pigs, the mountains rising out of the lake. it was aweinspiring. The andes people are very spiritual and combine Christ with the sun, moon, lake, and mountains to form their own type of religion-spirituality. We arrived at the Bolivian border and the clocks jumped up an hour. i then had to get money changed to bolivianos....which is 8 to one us dollar. got my passport stamped and moved on to copacabana...which i was not going to spend the night. when i arrived people were asking me do i need a place. one guy i followed and i couldnt believe it....i have a veranda, ocean view, 50 feet from hte lake, bed and bath for.....$5 i could not believe it. i have learned taht Bolvia is very very cheap...meals are $1 and i am going to do all my souvenir shopping here! i got $60 in bolivianos and that will last me for 3 days. Copacaban is very small..no ATM, very low key, the people are wonderful and i feel like i am at my own private resort.,....i dont want to leave my room...i want to retire here. i should be able t o see the sun set from my room tonigh. So now...i am going to eat, shop and rest....its avery laid back community not much things to do so nice to do today. Tomorrow morning i will forge on to La Paz , Bolivia for two days and the dia de las brujas..day of the witches!
